This is a chance to see yourself as never before — captured on film, reflected back with clarity, and shared in a trusted circle. It is not training, not performance, and not a showreel. It is a mirror held up at a pivotal moment: revealing the essence of how you show up, the stories you tell yourself, and the presence others experience.

What you take away is not only two films — a highlight reel and a fuller feature — but a deeper sense of who you are, how you lead, and how you choose to step forward in a precarious, fast-changing world. Ultimately, it’s about building stronger teams, cementing culture, modelling the leadership you hope to see in others, and embracing vulnerability — which is itself powerful leadership

A Director’s Cut

Not a course. A Mirror

In a world of uncertainty and change, this is a mirror that helps you see yourself with clarity, and lead with steadiness

A crafted package - two films, a guided review, and a private cohort première

The experience is simple, structured, and focused

  • Scoping Call (15 mins, Zoom) : No preparation required

  • Shoot (90 mins, Central London) : Short walk from Liverpool Street Station, one-to-one, unscripted: no performance

  • Receive films (3-4 weeks post shoot) : Highlights and full feature (MP4, 1080p via secure link). For your eyes only

  • Debrief Call (60 mins, Zoom) : One-to-one to explore insights and applications

  • Première (90 mins, Central London) : A trusted circle of up to 12 peers choosing to see and be seen — a rare moment of mutual recognition leaders seldom experience.

The première is a unique and special shared experience: a short film of highlights from each cohort member, curated with care and facilitated so that you decide what to share, what to say, and always with the assurance of confidentiality

What leaders ask?

How is this different from other leadership programmes?

Many leadership programmes fill you with slides and frameworks. Facing Reality is a filmed mirror — a space to pause and see yourself as you are. It’s not about learning models; it’s about noticing your own patterns, presence, and impact. Its about seeing yourself and the power of a collective experience.

Is this just a promotional video?

No. This isn’t designed to market you. It’s designed for you. The films are a lasting self-reflection tool — something you can return to in times of change, challenge, or renewal. Each film is crafted to broadcast quality, with careful attention to tone and sound so you can see yourself with clarity and dignity.

When is this most valuable?

Leaders tell us this is most powerful at moments of transition — taking on a new role, navigating turbulence or crisis, leading transformation or merger, shaping culture, reflecting on legacy or even to use with your teams or family. It helps you see where you are, with clarity.

How could I use my film afterwards?

Your film can serve as a mirror for you alone, or as a way to frame conversations with others. We have found people use them in varied, creative and impactful ways that best suit them and their context.

Who will see my film?

You decide. You hold full editorial control, and only the version you approve will ever be shown. All footage and edits are stored securely, with strict confidentiality. Nothing is shared without your explicit consent, and privacy is central to the process.

When would we film?

The premiere for the first cohort is set for 3 December. Filming takes place in the weeks before, and while we have preferred dates to keep the process flowing, we’ll work with you to find a time that fits your diary. The important thing is that scheduling or location should not be a barrier to your involvement.

Who is behind Facing Reality?

Facing Reality is led by Chris Grant OBE and Chris Mcleod. Together they bring decades of experience across boardrooms, elite sport, and cultural leadership. Their approach blends facilitation, and film craft — influenced by Nic Askew’s pioneering films.
